For accounting and tax firms
Take on more bookkeeping clients with the team you have.
Slashbooks is an AI bookkeeper for your firm. It catches up client books month by month, asks clients what it needs, and hands your staff finished work to review.
- Free during the beta
- Your firm's name on every invitation
- Clients connect their own banks
Why firms use Slashbooks
Every January, the catch-up work is bigger than your team.
Your staff chases clients for statements.
Your staff reviews finished work.
How it works
Add a client. Slashbooks does the bookkeeping. Your team signs off.
-

Add a client

Slashbooks asks the client what only they know, and keeps the answer with the transaction.
-
04
Your staff signs off
Review the suggestions, run the month-end check, and publish the month.
Built for firms
Your firm stays in control of every client.
Every client in one place
See each client's status and what needs you, sorted by what needs you first.
An email when work is ready
Slashbooks emails your team when a client's books are ready to review.
Nothing recorded without you
Your staff approves each suggestion. Publish a month when it passes the month-end check.
No bank logins to handle
Clients connect their own accounts, so your staff never asks for a password.
Your brand
Clients see your firm's name and color in the invitation and every time they sign in.
Access by client
Each staff member sees only the clients they are assigned to.
- Read-only bank and Stripe access. Slashbooks cannot move money.
- Bank logins stay with the bank. Nobody at Slashbooks or your firm sees them.
- Encrypted in transit and at rest. HTTPS and AES-256.
- Each client is kept apart. Staff see only their assigned clients.
- 2-step sign-in and passkeys. Encrypted backups, with tested restores.
- Preparing for SOC 2. We run on Cloudflare, which has SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
Questions
Questions from firms
How much does it cost?
Nothing during the beta. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any charge starts.
Does Slashbooks replace my staff?
No. Slashbooks does the routine bookkeeping. Your staff reviews and approves it, so each person can look after more clients.
Can I start with one client?
Yes. Start with one catch-up client, check the result, and then add more.
What does my client have to do?
Accept your invitation, connect their accounts, and answer the occasional question by email.
Can the AI make mistakes?
Yes. That is why an accounting engine, not the AI, does the math, every account is checked against its bank statement, your staff approves each suggestion in Review, and only a person can publish a month.
Which books does Slashbooks handle?
Cash-basis books for US small businesses whose money moves through bank accounts, cards, Stripe, or Mercury. For services and SaaS clients, you can choose accrual books when you add the client. Slashbooks does not do payroll or inventory.
Is this tax or accounting advice?
No. Slashbooks prepares the books. Your firm reviews them before anyone relies on them.
